Chat, meet, play
Offer one game or a few, make a counter-offer, or add a little cash to even things out. Pick a spot to meet in the chat — and enjoy your new game.
Swapping safely
- Meet in a public place. A café, a shopping centre, a metro station — ideally during the day.
- Check the game before you hand yours over. The disc or cartridge works and isn’t scratched, the case is for this game, and the manual or code is there if it was promised.
- Pay in person, on the spot. Hand over a cash top-up or the price of a game when you meet. Never pay in advance or send money to someone you haven’t met.
- Agree on everything in the app’s chat. That way there’s a record of what you agreed. If something feels off, report or block the user — from their profile or the chat.

- Is it free?
- Yes. Swapping, chatting and selling your own games cost nothing, and PlayShare Swap takes no cut of any sale or cash top-up.
- Who handles the money?
- You do. If a swap includes a cash top-up, or you sell a game, you pay each other in person when you meet. The app only records what you agreed — it never processes payments.
- Do I need to install anything?
- No. On the website you can browse, swap and chat right in the browser. The iPhone and Android apps add notifications, and the iPhone app can scan your shelf.
